PetraCasa is in Azolimnos — the sandy beach is just a short walk away, perfect for morning swims and sunset strolls. Along the waterfront you will find plenty of tavernas and cafés serving fresh seafood, Greek classics, and relaxed Aegean evenings without needing to drive anywhere.
Syros is more than a beach stay. Visit the elegant capital Ermoupolis with its neoclassical architecture, climb to medieval Ano Syros, discover south-coast coves, sample local loukoumi and San Michalis cheese, or take a short ferry to neighbouring islands — all within easy reach of Azolimnos.
Ermoupolis is one of the most beautiful towns in the Cyclades — grand neoclassical mansions, the impressive Miaouli Square, the Apollon Theatre, and a lively waterfront for coffee and evening walks. Above the port, Ano Syros is a medieval hilltop quarter of narrow alleys, white houses, and views over the Aegean.
About 15–20 minutes by car from Azolimnos. Ideal for a half-day of culture, shopping, and photography.
Start at Azolimnos beach on your doorstep, then explore the island's varied coastline — family-friendly Galissas, the wide bay at Vari, picturesque Kini with its sunset tavernas, Megas Gialos, and quieter coves on the south coast.
Swimming, snorkelling, paddleboarding, and relaxed beach days are all part of a Syros holiday.
Syros is known for its gastronomy — loukoumi from workshops in Ermoupolis, San Michalis PDO cheese, capers, and excellent seafood. Azolimnos itself offers plenty of seaside tavernas and cafés; venture to Kini, Finikas, or the capital for even more choice.
Ask us for current favourites — summer pop-ups, fish tavernas, and spots with the best sunset views.
From Syros port you can take day ferries to Tinos, Mykonos, and other Cycladic islands. On Syros itself, visit the southern villages of Poseidonia and Finikas, the Agios Stefanos cave, or hiking trails with sea views.
Boat excursions and guided tours run in season — we are happy to point you to reliable local operators.
