Distance to Ermoupolis and transport
Azolimnos wins on proximity to town. Ermoupolis is roughly 15 minutes by car — useful if you plan several evenings in the capital for dinner, shopping or culture. Galissas is about 20–25 minutes from Ermoupolis on the other side of the island.

Azolimnos evenings are low-key — taverna dinner, stroll by the water, early nights or a short drive to Ermoupolis. Perfect if you want calm after busy Athens or a family-friendly rhythm.
Galissas has more summer energy on the beachfront — longer season buzz, more visitors, a “holiday resort” feel. Still not Mykonos nightlife, but noticeably livelier than Azolimnos in August.
